Rosamunde
Goes For Baroque 2022

Founded in 2011, the Rosamunde Summer Music Academy & Festival is where your string playing will blossom! We offer a tailored, high-calibre musical learning experience with a faculty of outstanding performers and teachers, hand-picked for their dedication to a supportive yet exacting teaching style.

2021 Collaborative Video Project:
Rosamunde Goes for Baroque 2022

Rosamunde is returning to our 10-day in-person Academy session for Core program students to be held on the lovely campus of CMU from August 17-26! With the excellent experience we have had offering online extension classes prior to the August Academy dates, we will continue to bring this element in to enhance our programs. Baroque performance practice will be the topic for one of our extension classes and both of our distinguished guest artists will be bringing their expertise in this area. Please see program descriptions for more details including dates for our Pre-Professional, Rosamundiade and Mini Rosie programs. Accommodation options will be available for out of town students

In the spirit of gratitude and reconciliation, Rosamunde gathers to play and listen to music on the ancestral lands of the Indigenous people of Manitoba: the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene, and Métis. We acknowledge that the treaties on which this land was built were not fully honoured. Rosamunde acknowledges and supports the Indigenous Rights enshrined in the constitution of Canada and we affirm the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. We are mindful of the harms and mistakes of the past, and we are committed to being part of the process of reconciliation through the gift of music.

Rosamunde 2022 is returning to Canadian Mennonite University’s beautiful campus, located in a quiet Winnipeg neighborhood adjacent to the Assiniboine Forest, boasting ample greenspace and numerous walking trails. CMU (
500 Shaftesbury Blvd. Winnipeg, MB) is an ideal home for our camp, with its spacious and well-appointed music facilities.
