Peek-a-Rosie students will experience an exploration of music and their instruments in an interactive group setting. Beginning violin, viola and cello students who have taken lessons for 6 months - 2 years are welcome to participate. Students will be immersed in music games and activities while surrounded by the sounds of Rosamunde's advanced string students and faculty. The program is a wonderful opportunity to motivate young students through social and creative musical engagement.
The Peek-a-Rosie experience will emphasize:
- ensemble playing
- reinforcing instrument specific movement skills
- strengthening rhythm and tonal skills through movement and singing
- guided improvisation activities and creative musical expression
- sharing the fun experience of making music with others!
Students will not be expected to be reading music notation for this program and will not be given music selections to prepare ahead of time. A short group concert will be held on August 15, 11AM for parents & families.
All students gain free admission to Rosamunde Festival Faculty concerts.
