THAT'S MY VIBE
Original artwork by Shirley Elias
Dimensions: 10x40
Market Value: $925

True to Elias’s style, this is a bold abstract of a traditional classical instrument captured with a contemporary and fantastical flair. A striking modern rendition of the violin, where the canvas portrays an energy and vibrancy, as if the music was already in motion.
The form of the violin is unmistakable. The curves of its body are accentuated with dynamic sweeps of vibrant colors. Thick, impasto brushstrokes create a tangible texture, especially along the strings, which gleam in metallic gold hues, catching the light with a mesmerizing sheen.
The violin is surrounded by a vivid backdrop. Gestures of bold pinks and oranges, and sweeping lines, frame the violin and evoke a sense of movement and spontaneity. Splashes of contrasting colors intermingle, adding depth and dimension to the overall composition.
This modern interpretation not only celebrates the timeless elegance of the violin but also imbues it with a contemporary edge, inviting the viewer to appreciate its beauty in a new light.
Everything old can always be new again!
