Silent art auction ~ original artwork by Shirley elias

Sophisticated fantasy in motion.
Abstract, symmetry energy emitting from a central point, the focal area that these weaving curvilinear forms burst out of.  Movement and depth.
The rich, earthy color palette is actually created with iridescent colors. The use of light and dark shades creates a three-dimensional illusion. Textured patterns within certain sections contribute to the tactile quality of the work, inviting viewers to perceive a luxurious surface quality.
Lots of detail and interplay of form in this piece. The symmetry required a very deliberate creative process. But I feel like the final harmonious balance of colors and lines evokes a sense of meditation and introspection.
