Daniel Perry moved to Winnipeg to join the WSO in 2014, and has since been establishing himself locally as a performer and educator. In addition to his regular obligations with El Sistema and private instruction, Daniel's teaching experiences have included the Rosamunde Summer Music Academy, the Masterworks Festival, and the University of North Dakota. He is also the demonstrator on the DVD for The Essential Elements of Bass from Hal Leonard Publications.
As an orchestral performer, Daniel has traveled Europe and North America with ensembles including the Trondheim Symphony in Norway, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Switzerland, the Thunder Bay Symphony, the Oregon Coast Music Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra, the New York String Orchestra, and the Curtis Institute of Music. He studied with Gregory Dugan, Owen Lee, and at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with Lawrence Hurst and Bruce Bransby.
