Daniel Perry

Daniel Perry joined the WSO and the Winnipeg community in 2014; he enjoys both the people and nature that Manitoba has to offer. After starting with voice and piano, Daniel picked up a bass at age 11. He has since studied with various teachers including Lawrence Hurst, Bruce Bransby, and Owen Lee and has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony, the Trondheim Symphony and the Verbier Festival Orchestra, among others. With an increasingly holistic approach to bass playing, Daniel strives to emphasize musicianship as a vessel for developing skills such as self-expression, interpersonal collaboration and self-instruction. When he’s not hauling a bass, you can find Daniel on a bike.
