Elation Pauls

Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the Rosamunde Summer Music Academy and Festival, Elation Pauls has served as Assistant Principal Second Violin with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra since 2009.

In constant local demand for her lush sound and expressive solo and chamber music performances, she is violinist with the newly formed Ensemble Exchange and maintains an active private teaching studio. Recent highlights have included opening Brandon's 17/18 Pro Series with a performance of Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time and performing Fauré's second piano quintet with Martin Beaver, David Harding, Paul Marleyn and Martin Roscoe at the 2017 Agassiz Chamber Music Festival.

January of 2018 includes a week of self-directed residency in Israel with support from the Manitoba and Winnipeg Arts Councils. Following studies with the great Hungarian pedagogue Lorand Fenyves at the University of Toronto, Ms. Pauls obtained the highly sought-after Solo Performance (Konzertexamen) degree from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock, Germany, where she studied with Petru Munteanu. She has performed in many of the major concert halls of North America and Europe, including Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw, Leiszhalle (Hamburg) and at the Philharmonie (Berlin).
